The Decorated Labyrinth

Learn the history behind the labyrinth and master the elegance of its construction. Not a maze or puzzle, the labyrinth has one path in and one path out, an uninterrupted journey both in the process of drawing and in the serenity of the finished painting. Participants will learn several decorative designs and explore ways to create and reproduce their own patterns. Additional art media supplies will be available for creative exploration.







Winter Songbirds
in Paper Mache

Flour, construction paper and boiling water are all that's needed to construct a Cardinal, Goldfinch, or Blue Jay (or your choice of species!). They make lovely gifts, or learn to make one with your children on a long winter afternoon.






Laura is a retired Occupational and Horticultural Therapist, lifelong artist and musician. She leads Art through Nature Drawing workshops and New England Natural History programs for all ages from her home in rural Massachusetts. Her workshops are designed for and adapted to all skill levels.
